Jeff Berman
Jeff Berman is an entrepreneur, activist, and advocate. He is co-founder of Magnet Companies, a private equity-backed holding company based in Los Angeles. He has spent the past decade in leadership roles at the intersection of technology and media, including serving as President of Whalerock Industries, Head of Digital at the NFL, and in a series of roles at MySpace where he led the content, marketing, sales, public policy & communications teams, and launched MySpace’s native video platform.
Jeff’s board experience includes Buddy Media (SAAS business acquired by Salesforce), Anine Bing (LA-based fashion/commerce company), Brud, and United to Protect Democracy (non-profit founded in 2017 to defend the rule of law in America). Before moving into the private sector, Jeff was in Washington, DC, serving first as a civil rights lawyer and then as Chief Counsel to Senator Chuck Schumer. He holds a JD from Yale Law School. Jeff lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their three children.
